Tai sabaki - Body rotation

Direct entrance

For the presentation of the step sequences applies the following situation:

TORI is moving sideways to the left, he rotates his left foot clockwise directly in throwing direction, he is not on his heel. Using a rotation in the left hip joint, the rotations movement of the whole body is initiated. TORI now executes the same rotary movement with the right leg, in order to bring the technique to an end. Here TORI is in relation to UKE at the end of the motion sequence not directly in front of UKE, but slightly to the right. The refraction of equilibrium is much more to UKE's right side.

Closely associated with the turn in (input) techniques are the movement patterns of the body during position changes, or quite simply, the way of walking. Distinction is made here by Tsugi ashi and Ayumi ashi.
